Selected countries can visit Russia upon meeting a few additional safety requirements, other, e.g., China citizens still face a travel ban when it comes to this transcontinental country. Moreover, the quarantine rules also differ between the different travelers.

Who can travel to Russia?
Most foreign countries can now visit Russia upon meeting a few requirements and/or going on a quarantine prior to or after arriving to the country.

Russian travel restrictions
Since the 2021 spring, Russia started allowing more foreign citizens into the country with appropriate limitations upon arrival.
You may need to:
- have a printed copy of the medical certificate (that contains a negative Covid-19 PCR test result)
Please note! The test must be taken 72 hours or less prior to arriving in Russia.
- quarantine for 14 days (two weeks): applicable to UK citizens or any passengers arriving from that country
- keep distance from others and avoid crowds
- wash your hands often
- wear a mask
Can I apply for the Russian e-Visa now?
The Covid-19 pandemic has made traveling extremely difficult and often even impossible. However, since Russia has already started re-opening and welcoming foreign citizens, traveling there will become easier as time goes.
Since this April 2021, Russia has a list of dozens of countries that can enter its territory. The Russian government introduced a vaccine to its people, and over 14 million citizens have now been vaccinated.
The coronavirus pandemic will now be less threatening with more and more people vaccinated. However, still, some limitations are in force. If you comply with them and your country is eligible to travel to the Russian Federation, you can apply for the Russian e-Visa.
How to apply for a Russian visa online?
Contrary to the current travel restrictions, getting a Russian visa online is easy and quick. All you have to do is prepare your valid passport, a digital photo of your face, and medical insurance for the upcoming Russian travel.

Please note! No matter what Covid-19 restrictions are in force, all foreign visitors must have a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months to be able to cross this transcontinental country border.
How long will the e-Visa be processing?
The processing time for the Russian e-Visa is 96 hours at most. However, usually, applicants receive their entry permits within 72 hours (3 business days).
